Introducing new Partnership directors
We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new members to our board of directors, following our recent recruitment. Jackie Davies and Tara Clee joined the board of Bristol Green Capital Partnership on 1 September 2022.
Jackie Davis is a born and bred Bristolian who has qualified as a solicitor, trained as a Minster of Religion and has always had a passion for working, supporting and empowering communities. Jackie has served as a Trustee for Black to Nature since the organisation registered as a charity and formed part of the steering group, championing its development.
As we seek to move toward a more green society, Jackie is keen to ensure that all peoples are included in the discussion and are realistic about the true impact of changes necessary to make the city zero carbon are fully understood. Jackie looks forward to serving the city of Bristol in this position as a Director of Bristol Green Capital Partnership.
Tara Clee is an ESG Analyst at Bristol based investment firm, Hargreaves Lansdown. She has recently worked on the business’ net zero strategy, climate-related financial disclosures, and an ESG Investment Policy. The latter raises the bar for companies and fund groups Hargreaves Lansdown can invest in (for example, the expectation of a net zero target).
Tara’s role also involves producing research on ESG and Responsible Investment funds and assisting in the creation of new tools to help clients invest responsibly. She is also Co-Head of the Sustainability Network at Hargreaves Lansdown, a colleague-led group working to help the business take responsibility for understanding, measuring and reducing its direct and indirect environmental impact.

The Partnership team and board of directors would also like to say a special thanks to Joy Carey of Bristol Food Network, who has recently stepped down as a director having served on the board for over 6 years. Joy has been instrumental in enabling BGCP to collaborate impactfully with partners and members towards a more resilient food system in Bristol, and has contributed enormously to the food movement in the city.
